No doubt most of you are aware the Congress slapped Comcast for their little attempt at controlling our Internet activity. I just got the email below. It urges us to sign petitions for the Government to legislate neutrality. It’s probably a good idea to sign it - but I am having major problems with the whole situation.
In these days when we are fighting an ever-growing Government and ever-growing government control, why are we petitioning our Government to take care of what we can very well take care of ourselves? What does pleading for “inalienable rights” exactly do for us but allow the government to take control of yet one more area of our lives.
I have no clue what happened to political and economic education in our school systems, but the trick Comcast just pulled on us isn’t a Government Issue. It is a matter for the public to take care of themselves. We don’t need a mommy gov to do this for us. America - it’s time to take your damned diapers off and do something for YOURSELVES.
If you don’t like that Comcast just tried to take your Internet freedom away from you: BOYCOTT them. In an age when Government decisions can change according to the amount of money a company is willing to pay them to do so….In an age where there are little loopholes written into otherwise nice sounding legislations…in an age where the Government takes every complaint as an excuse to take control of just one more area of our lives until it consumes every aspect:
WE NEED TO STAND FOR OURSELVES AND SHOW GOVERNMENT WE DON’T NEED NO STINKING LEGISLATION.
BOYCOTT, not legislation, will show fascist companies hungry to take your rights in exchange for cash that we are stronger than they are — step on us and you don’t HAVE a company.
BOYCOTT, not legislation, is your vote to handle fascism yourself and stop the spread of government into your lives.
BOYCOTT, not legislation, is the way to strike fear into the corporations who can not survive without your money.
Now - I have included the letter below with all the links, whistles, and bells to sign a petition and give the Government more control over your lives and make you dependent on their whims, put you at risk of the your legislators selling your rights for a price.
I have also given you the link to the page of contacts for Comcast.
This is where you vote for freedom from dependency on growing government control - or for your rights as an individual with inalienable rights.
VOTE FOR GOV - at the links in the letter below
VOTE FOR FREEDOM - by contacting Comcast and telling them you refuse to do business with a corporation which would violate your Internet Freedom. Hit them in their budgets (which they will just use again later to take your freedoms).
Cancel your contracts for reasons of treason - don’t buy from them - don’t work for them. Show corporations and Government that freedom is in OUR hands - not theirs.

Here is the letter that has the links which will allow you to beg for your rights.
Dear Friend,
Your hard work is paying off! Just one hour ago, the Federal
Communications Commission voted to punish Comcast for violating Net
Neutrality and blocking your right to do what you want on the
Internet.
This win is yours. Defying every ounce of conventional wisdom in
Washington, activists, bloggers, consumer advocates and everyday
people have taken on a major corporation and won.
Today’s vote at the FCC is also a precedent-setting victory that sends
a powerful message to phone and cable companies that blocking access
to the Internet will not be tolerated from this time forward.
News of this win is now being covered by every major news outlet as a
turning point for Net Neutrality. Many more people are discovering our
people-powered movement for a free and open Internet.
We need to capitalize on this momentum to grow the movement and ensure
that Net Neutrality is protected on all 21st-century networks. Help us
send a message to this Congress — and the next one:

In the past two years, more than 1.6 million of you have already
contacted Congress and the FCC. But that’s not all. You have
sacrificed time and energy speaking out at town meetings, collecting
signatures on street corners and on campuses, and spreading the word
via blogs, Facebook and house parties.
With your help today, signing this letter and forwarding it to
friends, we can increase our ranks to more than 2 million.
Today’s FCC victory is a milestone, but our work is far from done.
Companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon are continuing to fight Net
Neutrality using lobbyists, lawyers and campaign contributions. These
special interests should not be allowed to set Internet policy for the
nation.

The Internet’s true greatness lies in those of us who use its level
playing field to challenge the status quo, create and share new ideas,
take part in our democracy and connect with others around the world –
without permission from any gatekeepers.
With your help and commitment, today’s win will be just the first of
many to protect innovation, free speech and democracy on the Internet.
Thank you!
