About

Hi and thanks for stopping by.

Self Reliance Survival Systems is the result of my work on a website for rockhounds and treasure hunters - a very earth conscious bunch of people.

Back in February of 2006 I was hunting for something a bit different for my newsletter and ran across an article that said that Chandler’s Wobble had stopped dead. (Chandler’s Wobble is the way the earth wobbles on its axis). That had never happened before as far as anyone had ever heard of and the predictions were that there would be repercussions in the form of massive natural disasters. I couldn’t help myself from starting to follow what was going on and soon found that earthquakes would be easy to track with the global system in place. So I began tracking.

I also began watching what was going on with other changes happening. My partner on that site, Robert Velare, also found a major interest in the project and joined my research (and often surpasses it). What we have found is amazing - staggering - frightening. It has put science fiction into the class of mundane afternoon dramas on TV.

It seems we are in a bit of a jam here on Ole Mother Earth and she is not being real forgiving about it. Neither is our old Egyptian friend RA (sun god). Now some of what is coming down is apparently not the fault of the way to large population of humans on the earth. Some of it is. It seems that we are in some deep doodoo, though - and that is the plain fact no matter what or who is at the bottom of it all.

It has come time for us to quit pointing fingers and start acting. First we - each and every one of us - need to know how to save ourselves in an emergency. What kind of an emergency you ask? Pick one. They are many and widespread. It doesn’t matter if you have never seen a flood or a tornado in your area anymore because as of this year (2007) different disasters are happening in places they have never happened before (read my first post for a few examples). Don’t look for promises that things will get better shortly.

The general scenario is that we have to be ready for ANYTHING at any time.

Well if that isn’t enough, we also have to contend with the energy issue. Green, earth friendly, power sources were kept suppressed for a long, long time by those enjoying the profits brought in by non-renewable power source ownership. This suppression has gone so far that humans are now using more energy in a year’s time than can be produced. Someday we might be able to look back and point at the politicians and corporate leaders and laugh at how that backfired on them - but now is not the time - we have some major work to do.

It is time for citizens to learn about and to use green power. We need to do this so we can survive when our non-renewable resources give out and our power is cut. Did you know that the recent droughts in many areas in the US are straining our power supplies badly? Brown-outs and Black-outs may become the word of the day very soon. Higher prices will take power out of reach of many. Disasters will destroy massive power sources.

We also need to learn to use green power in our daily lives to save our planet. Non-renewable power sources take a toll on our environment - and our environment really doesn’t need any strain added at the moment.

So you see - after all the research, all the study, and what I have found from it, I had to create Self Reliance Survival Systems. I’ll be bringing you earth change and disaster information, sources for green and emergency supplies, answers, and maybe a few more questions we need to ask ourselves. Together we will examine our resources and options and we will watch what is taking place around the world. We will learn to be ready for anything.

We can learn and prepare in numbers, but when “the excrement hits the air conditioning” we are each on our own to do what we can to survive.

I hope you find SRSS valuable to you and your family. When the bottom falls out, I hope you are prepared.

Sal
