The only towns in Vermont I have seen on the Fluoride Action Network's list (towns that have discontinued fluoridation) is Bennington and Brattleboro. You might want to make a copy of the questions in this article and get a petition to have your local water company answer these questions, then tell them to stop.

I am assuming that some class action suits against companies that dose us with this crap might be springing up here and there - a little bit of help in the fight wouldn't hurt.

OOPS - when I approved your comment, John - I accidentally deleted the comment you were responding to.

Don't know where it came from but called this a 2 year old chain letter scam just to clear the air that I wasn't deleting him because of his opinion. If the gentleman who responded wishes to repost, his link will stand. Very sorry for my lack of techno-proficiency.

It may be a 2 year old chain letter. That doesn't make it any less appropriate. Boycotts work when people participate.

On this issue you can get out of the jurisdiction of the United States corporation (it has no sovereignty). I have four pages of legal matter that has done that successfully and anybody should be able to do it. I have been doing it for over 20 years.

All of your dealings with the gov. have been fraudulantly induced and that makes them void.

Dave: We could have 3 cent per gallon gasoline and not have to import a drop if a few people would just cooperate.

Then we must make a high integrity money/money transfer system that would put the money crooks out of business and that is all that needs to be done.

In addition to that we can have free energy and abolish the gov.

Kind of ironic isn't it, in one state (LA) they're fighting to re-create lost wetlands. Yet in another state they're destroying perfectly good wetlands.

Good news for them, unfortunately fluoridization is as prevalent as ever here. In SLC they only started adding it a few years ago, I even get charged a few dollars a month for it! Not only do we have no choice about whether its in there but we have to pay for it!

Short space can make it difficult. Your goal has to be to get the most nutrition possible from each plant. Unfortunately, many that offer some carbs take some space.

I would definitely grow tomatoes - the ascorbic acid is vital to health and you can eat them fresh, sun dry them, or can them for later. You can also store pasta for a long time to eat with canned tomatoes. If you are growing food in an emergency, wheat grass, alfalfa, and other sprouts are good nutrition, take little room, and are edible quickly. You need to be able to replenish the supply of seeds, however, so make sure you buy enough seed to last for some length of time.

Asparagus is awesome - it tastes great fresh and if cut right it grows back swiftly - you will be able to easily save some seeds for future use, too. You can grow a lot of it in short space and it cans well, too. It is also high nutrient content.

If you can barter or sell your produce, herbs take little space - wouldn't hurt if you could trade some potatoes for some basil and chive, but herbs aren't going to cure hunger by themselves.

If you can grow a fairly tall plant, sunflowers provide seeds as well as being attractive. These serve to give a different sort of needed nutrient than many vegies.

If you are worried about food emergencies, this might be a good time to learn about wild edible plants in your area.
Many flowers are edible ( I just munched a good few wild violets out walking my dog today). Dandelions are extremely nutritious, and if you are near swampy territory, cattails can provide essential starches. One note about wild plants though - make sure you know what you are doing. Some look alike plants can be poisonous. There is a plant that looks just like wild carrot for example - it is very misleading and very deadly. Don't eat anything you aren't one-hundred percent sure about.
