Hi Everyone,
I just thought I’d stop by and give you all something to think about while I finish the site here.
For just a bit over the last year and a half I’ve been following natural disasters and earth changes. My research has made me start to wonder how many of us are really ready for anything that we get thrown at us. We are getting hit from a lot of directions. Consider some of the following facts.
Violent storms and natural disasters are on the increase - both in frequency and intensity. The earth and sun are undergoing rapid changes which promise to further increase weather extremes and natural disasters.
Unprecedented weather upheavals are being experienced in 2007. Worldwide floods have killed hundreds and displaced over 20 million people. Record breaking heat waves have killed hundreds. Earthquakes, already a growing hazard, now are hitting in record numbers at deadly magnitudes. Abnormal droughts now threaten energy and crops in many places in the US and around the world. The Yellowstone super volcano continues to build as a threat to a large percent of the earth’s inhabitants.
Natural disasters are happening in areas they rarely occur and even where they have NEVER OCCURRED BEFORE! Imagine the surprise of Connecticut residents who experienced a tornado in May, or the fear and devastation caused when the first ever recorded cyclone to hit the Arabian Sea killed 50, left 27 missing, and affected 20,000 others this summer.
Humans are now depleting more energy yearly than the Earth can provide. Continued price hikes on dwindling energy supplies threaten to make energy unavailable to the average person. Weather extremes, such as drought, put even more strain on energy sources.
West Nile virus continues to spread despite the easy remedy, which of course is natural, and scientists now report that bird flu has mutated in a way that makes it easier for it to infect humans. The virus is adapting to our 98.6 body temperature from the higher temperature of a birds body. How long will it be before it learns to migrate efficiently as well?
It has been rumored that US police will soon be armed with weapons which use microwave to inflict pain - to use on citizens for population control in demonstrations. For some reason it seems that the government has just decided that a good dose of radiation is no longer harmful to us - at least to those who voice anti-war or impeachment sentiments.
These facts reveal how urgent it has become to know, to be prepared, and to be able to survive without dependence on outside sources. These are just a few examples of what is going on in our world. Here at SRSS we are going to keep you informed about dangers, solutions, defenses, techniques, supplies, and whatever we uncover that will be relevant to our individual survival in the coming years. We hope you will come back often and learn or share some of your knowledge with us.
I’ll be back as soon as we get the curtains and carpet in here. Hope to see you here, too.
SAL
